About US:
The Aga Khan University (AKU) is a private, not-for-profit, international University first established in 1983, with 13 teaching sites in eight countries. AKU has seven hospitals and over 250 outreach health centres. The University is a non-denominational institution open to all, irrespective of religion, ethnicity, gender or national origin. Since 2001, AKU has offered academic programmes in nursing, medicine and education for East African Countries. The Aga Khan University will has a campus in Kampala Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasked with payables management
In charge of revenues and receivables management
Responsible for fixed assets management
Tasked with inventory management
The jobholder will also be coordinating the audit process
Ensure statutory deductions and timely reporting
Perform any other related duties
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting/ Bachelors of Commerce/ Bachelors of Business Administration
Professional qualification i.e. ACCA/CPA
At least three years of experience in a large organization with exposure to the various accounting packages
Excellent analytical skills
