About UKS:
The Uganda Kolping Society (UKS) is a Catholic Social Action Organisation which is part of the International Kolping Society (IKS), based in Cologne Germany and founded by Fr. Adolph Kolping. It is a worldwide network of Kolping families organised variably at Local, Regional and International levels. Uganda Kolping Society owns Companies of Kolping Microfinance (U) LTD and Kolping Holdings (U) Ltd.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and update clients’ ledger cards
Maintain and update the bank and petty cash book
Ensure that requisitions are approved before payment
Prepare cash and bank payment vouchers for approved requisitions
Support the accounts department in preparation of financial reports.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting Option) or any other relevant course from a reputable institution.
Any professional accounting course will be of an added advantage.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a busy and reputable organization.
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power point etcetera)
Be a person with high moral character and proven integrity.
