Job Summary: The Agriculture Credit Analyst will support PostBank’s Credit function in the preliminary handling of the branch customer’s applications for credit facilities. The Credit Analyst should have and Agriculture lending background and they will be responsible for complete underwriting of loan files with proper evaluation and assessment of credit risk for loans above 10M

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
In charge of the evaluation and assessment of credit risk for large applications (Above Shs.10 million)
Responsible for vetting credit applications and recommending the application for approval / recommendation for rejection
Suggesting the terms and conditions of credit recommended
Safe custody of credit documents from branches.
Upkeep of credit files and correspondence thereto regarding the credit facilities.
In charge of conveying the decision reached on credit proposals to the branch staff responsible for the application.
Work in liaison with the Credit Administration Manager, responsible for documentation and upkeep of documents and post sanction follow up.
Evaluating all Agriculture Credit Facility and other agriculture loan applications.
Preparing documentation for ACF funds requests to BOU
Handling all correspondences related to ACF loans both internally and externally
Preparing ACF project proposals and ACF Fund request forms to BOU on behalf of PBU
Preparing BOU returns regarding ACF loan applications
In charge of preparing all quarterly agriculture loans’ reports.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Credit Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the PostBank Credit Analyst job placement should hold a University degree in Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics Agriculture and Statistics
Uganda Institute of Bankers qualification is an added advantage
A minimum of three years’ experience as a credit officer with demonstrated good performance and clean track record
Excellent underwriting skills
High level of business acumen and commercial awareness, together with a sound knowledge of the full range of credit products
Excellent analytical, numerical and report writing skills
Excellent interpersonal oral and communication skills
Strong team player and proactive approach to work
Highly level of integrity and ethical standards
Working knowledge of excellent customer service standards
