LWF Uganda works to reduce people’s vulnerability, supporting them to realize their potential, to build on their assets, and to respond to their own problems and needs. LWF Uganda currently has five areas of operation in Pader, Kitgum, Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule, Kampala and Kamwenge Districts.

Job Summary: The Assistant Internal Auditor will be part of a team that supports the Core Senior Management Team (CSMT) in fulfilling their governance responsibilities, including ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of the internal control systems and risk management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Lutheran World Relief (LWR) Assistant Internal Auditor job opportunity should hold a degree in one of the following subjects: Accountancy (Business Education, B. Com-Accounting/Finance Bachelor Arts Accounting, BSc Accounting and Finance BBA-Accounting); BSc/BA Economics; Finance: Bachelor of Information Technology (IT), etc.
Qualification, and or membership of a recognized professional accountancy body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPAU,CPAK, CPATZ, etc.) is an added advantage.
Possession of a postgraduate qualification in relevant subjects such as, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), Master in Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts Accounting, MSC in Economics, Masters of Management Studies (Financial Management), or other Masters-level qualification in related subjects such a economics or business studies. Internal audit experience is desired
At least two years’ experience working in an Accounts/Finance Department and, or audit environment.
Excellent technical audit and accounting skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively at all levels.
Excellent IT skills, more so in the use of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs). Job application procedure
