Job Summary: The Assistant Project Accountant will support the Project Accountant and play a supportive role to all the AKF West Nile projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Project Accountant in preparing all the necessary financial reports.
Also support in the preparation of expenditure forecasts on the basis of projected events.
Manage an efficient and affective system for administering internal project processes, and synchronise the internal processes based on AKF financial requirements.
Manage project facilities, equipment and supplies for efficient and effective exertion of project work, ensuring that project facilities and equipment are at all times in good working order and that the supplies are adequate this includes being responsible for their orderly issuance to users including monitoring effective use of properties.
Oversee transport and itineraries to serve project needs effectively, including organising transport for project staff travelling within or outside Uganda.
Provide coordination and administrative support for project functions, including all workshops, open days, celebrations, etc.
Actively participate in the implementation of project activities where his/her specialised financial and administrative skills are relevant.
Maintain Dubai care Project equipment inventory.
Actively participate in conducting staff training on finance and management
Prepare all requisitions, bank reconciliations and EFT as when necessary.
Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Project manager and Project accountant from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The Assistant Project Accountant should hold a recognized degree in Finance and Accounting.
Proven experience in computer and cash analysis skills.
Proficiency in iscalar use is highly desired.
Excellent financial report writing skills.
Excellent book/record keeping skills.
