Job Summary: The Branch Managers will oversee the operations of the Branch as a profitable and sustainable business Unit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, monitor and control branch business growth in deposits in line with the set performance targets and the bank business plan.
· Implement, monitor growth and quality of branch credit portfolio in line with the set target.
· Identify and implement strategies for the sale of bank products in line with the set business performance targets.
· Routinely verify and authorize transactions within the defined limits in line with the bank policies and procedures
· Plan and coordinate the branch budgeting processes monitor implementation and make related reports in line with approved budget position for the branch
· Regularly review, monitor and assess staff development and performance needs as per HRM policies and programmes
· In charge of the requisition, keep custody, monitor utilization/ maintenance and coordinate disposal of bank assets in line with bank policies and their set management guidelines
· Review, coordinate, monitor and authorize all the processes of opening, reactivation, adjustment, transfer and closure of personal and non-personal accounts in line with bank policies/procedures, KYC guidelines and money laundering guidelines.
· Carry out field business and security assessments for new and existing credit facilities.
· Achieve the required level of customer service through managing the branch staff and customer interaction to keep customer retention high.
· The incumbent will be in charge of preparing and submitting periodic branch performance reports for review by Management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold an honors degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Quantitative Economics and Business Statistics or any other related field from a recognized University.
· A minimum of five years’ experience in a Branch Management role with proven experience in Sales, Credit, customer service, people management and Branch Operations
· Proven leadership and excellent people skills; results oriented and risk conscious, with demonstrable capacity and/or core competences in managing multi-talented people and complex work and business situations.
· Capacity to lead, motivate staff and manage operations effectively across diverse cultural environments.
· Positive and flexible attitude towards change
· Good networking competences
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Ability to exercise the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
