Job Summary: The Cashier will facilitate all cash transactions within the organization, maintain appropriate records and ensure timely and accurate accountability of the funds.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure sufficient funds are always available for company transactions and any other related cash payments
· Actively facilitate payment of cash vouchers following receipt of relevant supporting documentation and authorization for the same
· Follow up on IOUs to ensure that they are accounted for and canceled within the specified time frame
· The Cashier will maintain appropriate and up-to-date records for all cash related payments and IOUs
· Reconcile and tally physical cash with oracle balance on a daily basis.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold a good Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in either finance or accounting
· A minimum of two (2) years working experience in a reputable fast paced business environment
· Highly confident and assertive
· Excellent customer care skills
· Computer literacy i.e. familiarity with Microsoft office packages and other relevant IT skills
· Detailed accounting knowledge
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Honesty and integrity
