Job Summary: The Credit Control Officer will support Spedag Interfreight Uganda Ltd in the implementation and maintenance of an effective credit control system
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Professionally manage clients outstanding balances and ensure collections are made as and when due
· The incumbent will also ensure the timely delivery of invoices to clients, follow up for payment and ensure client queries on billing are sorted out promptly
· Actively monitor the progress of all pending transactions on a daily basis
· The job holder updates the clients regularly on the status of their out standings and updates the oracle system
· In charge of client accounts reconciliation
· Organize client’s visits in coordination with operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Credit Control Officer should preferably hold a good Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in finance or accounting
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
· A minimum of two years’ working experience in a reputable fast paced business environment preferably in a clearing and forwarding or shipping company
· Confident and assertive
· Good team player
· Good accounting knowledge
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· High degree of honesty and integrity
· Good business acumen
· Excellent communication skills
