East African Premier Investments Ltd (EAPIL) is a company involved in the provision of credit and financial services to SMEs in Uganda. EAPIL also provides business development-services to its clients to develop fully fledged business plans that are used to assess the viability of these businesses before they are funded by the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be a key member of the Executive Management Committee
Responsible for overall enhancement of company credit activities country-wide.
Responsible for the day today management of company credit operations and administration Ensures efficient loan management and loan portfolio growth activities.
Initiating and developing company Annual business plans and fundraising proposals in collaboration with other company staff.
Supervise credit officers and Accounts staff to ensure they attain monthly, quarterly and annual performance targets.
Ensure credit officers and accounts staff compile and submit monthly, quarterly and annual company performance reports on time.
Support the Managing Director to schedule board meetings and draft Board Papers, etc.
Responsible for the efficient management of EAPIL’s Management Information System (MIS). Will be responsible for the custody, management and control of EAPIL’s assets.
Support the Managing Director to secure and manage competitive procurement of services and goods that the company will require from time to time.
Under the guidance of the Managing Director, manage EAPIL’s financial investments.
Perform any other program related duties as deemed necessary from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate must hold a first degree in B.com (accounting or Finance), BBA (accounting), B. Econ or any other related field from a recognized university.
Possession of any of the following professional qualifications; CPA (U), ACCA (UK), ACCA, CPB (Certified Professional Banker) will be an added advantage.
At least five years of Credit Management experience in a busy Microfinance Institution.
The applicant must demonstrate proficiency in use of Automated Data Processing technology and tested experience in the use of Excel & Loan Tracking software like Loan Performer
Excellent communication skills.
