Job Summary:
The position of the Finance Assistant is very crucial in the company. It is a position which requires high level commitment, competency, integrity and trustworthiness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and assistance to the company and staff in all aspects in relation to sales
Keep proper records of books of accounts
Responsible for petty cash including maintenance of petty cash records and completion of cash records
Regularly review debtors information and ensure collections of debts
Process and prepare financial and business forms for checking account balances, facilitating purchases
Review and adhere to department budgets
Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency and cost reduction
Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
Review and audit financial statements and reports to ensure all calculations and data entries are corrected
Report any troubling discoveries or suspicions of wrong doing to the proper authority
Adhere to the company or organization’s financial reports on a regular basis
Adhere to the company’s organization’s financial policies and procedures
Performs other related duties such as special assignments and annual major objectives as required
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; Commerce (Finance) or Accounting and Finance
Must be computer literate especially word and Excel
