Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Technically support the Board in carrying out its oversight role in a way that will drive the continuing success of the company.
Provide the Board and Senior Management with clear reports on the current status of the company and practical recommendations for enhancing success and mitigating risks.
In charge of identifying and effectively managing UCL’s organizational risks in order to maximize achievement of company objectives and provide guidance to senior management on the effectiveness of the risk management strategies and interventions implemented.
Ensure that independent, objective and thorough audits are carried out in order to identify opportunities for adding value to Uganda Clays.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s degree in either Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/ Management or Commerce and a full professional qualifications either in ACCA, CPA, CIA or CIMA.
Current membership in ICPAU and IIA Uganda is an added advantage.
At least five years’ experience in either external or internal auditing at middle or top management level gained from a reputable organisation.
Value for money audit competences and principles
Basic knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act.
