Job Summary: The Institute Bursar will mainly provide leadership in the financial administration and planning in the Institute as well as maintaining the accounts in a form determined by the Institute Governing Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the effective and efficient distribution of financial resources and assets;
· Ensure that adequate and consistent cash flows
· Responsible for proper accountabilities and timely financial reporting;
· Inform the Governing Council about the Institute’s financial operations and investments;
· In charge of preparing timely participatory budgets;
· Ensure adequate human resource, logistic and financial support to the Department
· Ensure the transparency in decision-making and resource utilization ensured.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance or Accounting) or in a related field from a recognized University or Institution;
· Possession of an honors first degree in B.Com (Finance or Accounting) or BBA (Finance or Accounting) or related field from a recognized University or Institution;
· Full Membership to an accounting professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CPA is a must;
· A minimum of eight years’ experience, three of which should be at senior managerial level gained with a reputable organization/University/ Institution;
· Competence in computer-based accounting systems, preferably Navision Financials;
· Self-motivation with keen interest to detail, meeting tight deadlines and ability to work with minimum supervision;
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, team building and analytical skills;
· Working knowledge of the Public Sector Finance and Accounting system(s) will be required.
