Loans Officer – SolarNow – Kampala

SolarNow is an asset financing company that sells high quality solar product and appliances to households and businesses in Uganda. The company started in 2011 and has since opened 46 branches throughout Uganda, employs around 600 people.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Satisfaction:
SolarNow distinguishes itself from other companies because of its service level to clients. The Loans Officer will represent our company, and therefore you act accordingly. The incumbent will ensure client journey tickets are checked so we can provide information for the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle for all staff involved in client touch activities.
Health: By protecting the client from over-financing and protecting the company from unhealthy credit portfolios.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidates for the Loans Officer jobs must hold Bachelor’s Degrees in Micro-finance or an equivalent from a reputable university.
At least two years of related work experience. Relevant experience in Renewable energy is an added advantage.
Highly motivated and passionate about work.
Pay keen attention to detail.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Team player / People Management skills.
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Language Proficiency: The candidate must be able to speak all these languages i.e. Rutoro, Luo, Langi, Acholi and English..
