Job Summary: The Local Information Security & DR Analyst is responsible for ensuring that FINCA Uganda is compliant with Information Security and Disaster Recovery procedures/policies as stipulated in governing policy documents and IS strategy. The incumbent will be working hand in hand directly with the Risk Manager and indirectly to Regional Business Security Analyst and Regional DR/BCP Analyst.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Document procedures in compliance with existing policies.
Keenly review policy compliance and document areas of non-compliance
Work closely with the Information Systems Manager to document remediation plans or file requests for exception
Sensitize business on existing/applicable IS policies
Support and coordinate regular disaster recovery tests
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field.
Professional certification (SANS, CISSP, CISA.CISM, CCNA/P, Security+), would be a plus.
At least three years of working experience in an IT environment.
Proven IT Disaster Recovery experience
Significant exposure and experience in implementing technologies and procedures supporting Information Security policies
Knowledge of COBIT, IS02700x, OSI/ IP Network
Technical writing experience
