Accountable for the smooth running of all the central operations of the Bank. The role is accountable for ensuring that necessary controls are implemented while delivering an efficient service across all the Bank’s operations.
Key Result Areas:
• Ensuring that Branches meet their set targets in Assets, Liabilities and value-added services.
Supervise branch operations in liaison with regional managers in terms of tools of trade, staffing, internal controls, policies and procedures
Follow up Audit, Compliance and regulatory compliancy findings raised to ensure that there are no repeat findings
• Conduct regular trainings to branch, regional managers and head office department staff in identified gaps
Review and recommend policy changes regularly to the head of banking operations.
• Make regular branch visits to branches to close outstanding issues and advise management on next step
• Submit regular reports to the supervisor
• Timely response to staff and customer service needs in the branches and at the head office
• Any other duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Minimum educational and technical competence requirements:
• A Business degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management or any relevant field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry (at least management level).
• Knowledge of regulatory framework of the Banking industry
• Knowledge of operating systems, database systems and system integration
• Knowledge of inter-Bank clearing, funds transfer processes and SWIFT systems
• Strong exposure to Banking technology solutions and understanding of Banking
• Proven track record in the effective implementation of projects and change management operations
• Experience in business continuity management and the development of business recovery plans.
