Program Accountant – Kampala – Lifewater International

Job Summary: The Program Accountant will support the Regional Program Manager by ensuring the timely, accurate, and proactive management of all financial assets of the programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supports the Regional Program Manager by managing program expenditures par LI systems and guidelines.
· Keeps accurate program staff records, ensuring timely payment of statutory payments.
· Supports RPM to act on audit recommendations.
· The incumbent will serve as the Secretary to Program Procurement Committee.
· Prepares and submits program financial reports in QuickBooks in par LI policies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should hold a BA or BSc Degree or relevant professional training in Accounting or Finance management.
· At least three years’ accounting experience in NGO Sector.
· Prior experience in managing accounting staff.
· Excellent technical problem solving skills.
· Must be a committed Christian, able to work in denominational diversities
