About US:
Ligomarc Advocates is recruiting for a valuable client, a Government Company funded by Government of Uganda (Coil) and Development Partners, to provide financial, technical and other support for Renewable Energy infrastructure development in Uganda, with particular emphasis on enabling Private Sector participation. In the above regard, our client is participating in the World Bank funded Energy for Rural Transformation Project, now moving into its third Phase (ERT III), and is also implementing other programs funded by GoU and other Development Partners.
Job Summary: The Senior Transaction Execution Specialist (Investment) will appraise/review financing requests to the Company from PFIs and Project Sponsors in line with the Company’s Financing Policies Procedures, Financing Agreements with Development Partners, and Best Practice.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· As part of ERT III preparatory activities, to work alongside the legal and consulting firms to develop agreements, manuals, and procedures
· Prepare reviews of proposed transactions in line with the Company’s Financing Policies Procedures, Financing Agreements with Development Partners, and Best Practice.
· Work closely with Risk Section to take into account appropriate Risk Analysis during transaction appraisal and review.
· Prepare reports containing an assessment of the proposed transactions and appropriate recommendations.
· Prepare Letters of Offer for approved transactions.
· Performing due diligence (financial and credit) for PFIs, Project sponsors, and stakeholders to be supported by the Company.
· Work closely with Treasury Section to monitor the Company’s investment portfolio.
· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Director, Transaction Execution.
Key Performance Indicators:
· Due diligence reports (financial and credit) for PFIs, Project sponsors, and stakeholders to be supported by the Company
· Independent technical review reports for the proposed transactions submitted by PFIs in line with the Company’s Financing Policies, Procedures, Financing Agreements with Development Partners, and Best Practice
· Processed Letters of Offer for approved transactions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Senior Transaction Execution Specialist (Investment) should hold an Honours degree in a Business or Science related field from a recognised University
· Possession of a post graduate qualification or professional qualification in Finance or related field.
· A minimum of seven years’ experience in investment appraisal with a reputable Bank or Financial Institution or Financial Services Organisation.
· Detailed working knowledge of the Energy sector will be an added advantage.
