DFCU bank is a fast growing commercial bank offering a variety of innovative products and services. DFCU Limited was started by the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) of the United Kingdom and the Government of Uganda through the Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) under the name of Development Finance Company of Uganda Limited. Later restructuring brought in DEG (of Germany) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) as equal partners with CDC and UDC, each having a 25% stake in the company. Its objective was to support long-term development projects whose financing needs and risk did not appeal to the then existing financial commercial lending institutions.

Job Summary: The Transaction Banking Officer will support dfcu Bank in steering the utilization and penetration of Internet Banking through;
Activating dormant users in order to increase utilisation.
Converting DIB customers not on click banking to click Banking, users to improve click Penetration.
Onboarding DIB customers who have received passwords.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend to day to day plus medium term Internet Banking needs of Development & Institutional Banking (DIB) customers.
Steer the growth and profitability of the Transaction Banking unit from new & existing portfolio.
Provide technical support to the branches so as to increase productivity on Internet Banking.
Keep in line with changing market trends and devise better ways of supporting Internet Banking initiatives of the Bank.
Work closely with branches, manage Internet Banking utilisation and penetration in DIB portfolios.
Perform any other follow up or duties assigned as related to the Internet Banking function.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidates for the DFCU Transaction Banking Officer job should hold Bachelor’s degrees in any field
Broad working knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s systems & products especially DIB and Transaction Banking products
Industry and business awareness on electronic platforms.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, personal organisation e.g. diary management
Excellent organizational skills & team work.
