About Britania:
Britania Products (U) Ltd. was set up in 1992 as a small unit for manufacturing biscuits and bread. A confectionery unit was added to this in 1998. To utilize the abundant natural resources of fruits and vegetables in the country, Britania Foods (U) Ltd., a modern fruit and vegetable processing unit blossomed into existence in mid-1995. In late 2002, Britania Products and Britania Foods merged and a new entity Britania Allied Industries Ltd. was instituted. The Corporate Office and the factory remained in Ntinda Industrial Area in Kampala, a contributory factor being the land owned by the company and available for expansion.

Job Summary: The Marketing Manager will be in charge of directing the day-to-day marketing activities of the organization and long term marketing strategy for the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· The incumbent will formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion team.
· In charge of managing the company’s marketing budget.
· Responsible for developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
· Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
· Coordinating marketing campaigns with the sales activities.
· Actively monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing strategies and campaigns.
· Working closely with design companies and assisting with new product launches.
· Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
· Ensure the creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
· Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
· Initiate market research and carry out analysis of market trends.
· Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and Production Managers to market company products.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business or BBA, Bcom. Possession of a Post graduate diploma in Marketing, CIMA or any other related will be an added advantage
· A minimum of three to five years of professional experience especially in the field of marketing.
· Excellent analytical and project marketing skills
· Good planning and organizational skills
· Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
· Broad commercial knowledge
· Skills in market analysis techniques
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· High level of integrity
· Result-oriented
· Excellent computer skills.
