AIROPS Assistant – Entebbe – International Committee of the Red Cross

About ICRC:
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral and independent international humanitarian organisation, which assists and protects victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence. The ICRC is currently looking for staff for its support operations to South Sudan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· The incumbent manages all airport activities for ICRC operations independently
· Significantly contributes to Flight operation’s orientation and policy
· Maintains and develops contacts at National level with authorities, NGO and other ICRC
· Responsible for airport operations at a national level and ensures corresponding logistics
· The AIROPS Assistant will oversee and organize work for loaders and drivers
· Ensures a good information flow with other departments

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) AIROPS Assistant should have at least two to three years’ experience in aviation ground operations
· Confirmation of Personnel management skills, while able to integrate laid down rules and procedures
· Prior experience in dealing with airport authorities and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
· The incumbent should have the ability to carry out complex activities and
· Excellent written communication ability and skills
· ICRC training/briefing on air operations Standard Operating Procedures will be an added advantage
· Capacity to deal with people, to develop contacts plus organize work of other employees
· Possess a valid driving license
· Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
