Job Description
Archives and Records Management Officer provides support in storage of Bank documents, supporting the Bank on retrieval of documents whenever required, support in developing policies and procedures for managing records properly, ensuring Bank’s documents are properly archived as per the procedures and policies of the Bank, taking custody of all Bank’s properties earmarked for disposal/considered obsolete and providing updates to the Security Coordinator daily.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Effective maintenance of the central Archives of the Bank.
• Storing, retrieving, arranging, indexing, and classifying Bank records.
• Facilitating the development of filing systems, and maintaining these to meet administrative, legal, and financial requirements.
• Devising and ensuring the implementation of retention and disposal of assets.
• Overseeing the management of retrieval of Bank physical documents.
• Reviewing the physical layout structure of the Bank to determine the best location for records management services.
• Developing policies and procedures for managing records properly.
• Establishing filing systems that allow easy retrieval of records when needed.
• Preparing monthly reports on the status of records to ensure they are managed properly.
• Support the Finance department on physical asset verification.
• Maintaining a register for all physical documents moving from and to Branches.
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

• Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills.
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft office programs like word, Excel, database, and email applications.

• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong service ethics.
REQUIREMENTS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Records and Archives Management or any other related field.
• At least (3) years of Experience preferably in Banking.
• Ability to oversee, plan, coordinate, direct, review, and assist in all aspects of Records Management & Archiving.
• Broad experience in managing Institutional or Corporate information flows.
