Cards and Money Transfer Officer – Dfcu Bank – Kampala

JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Cards and Money Transfer Manager, the role holder will be responsible for growing and running a profitable card and Money Remittance business through creation and retention of the customer base; effectively managing the business and commercializing the channels. This should be done through strategic planning, product design, management, and performance in the Bank.
LOCATION: Kampala

Key Accountabilities:
• Revenue assurance on all Card products and Money Transfer partners which include but not limited to; Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Western Union, MoneyGram, and World Remit.
• Competitor analysis to evaluate how we can offer competitive products to our customers.
• Weekly and monthly report and analysis of Fees Collected.
• Run a clean Credit Card portfolio through daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio management and constant engagement with key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities and timing when campaigns can be launched to increase usage and hence enhance the main income streams.
• Run all processes effectively by ensuring proper communication and training is done for all bank personnel especially the branch network.
• Ensuring 100% query resolution within the agreed SLA with all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Alternative Channels to drive digital agenda for the Bank.
• Robust Product training framework for all staff on Card products and Money Transfers.
• Reporting on sales initiatives and performance numbers in a timely manner.
• Manage all Governance around all Card and Money Transfer business.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

Qualifications, Experience And Competencies Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Marketing from a recognized university.
• Good knowledge of key product management principles.
• Product and Financial training.
• 2-3 years working experience.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to drive business output.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Advanced forecasting, pricing, and business modelling.
• Good computer knowledge especially spread sheets, word, and PowerPoint.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with other teams for implementation of activities.
• Business and Industrial awareness.
• Team player and ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Solutions oriented mind set.
