Driver – Concern Worldwide – Kampala

Concern Worldwide is an international non-governmental, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. Our mission is to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives which last and spread without on-going support from Concern.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive Concern vehicles as per the traffic laws/ regulations, Concern policies and procedures
Keep proper records of vehicle usage i.e. mileage, fuel, maintenance and movements.
Conduct daily and monthly vehicle condition checks to ensure that the vehicle is in good running order and report to the supervisor any required action, deliver and collect mail to and from various offices regularly while ensuring its safety

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should at least hold an O’ level certificate
At least two years of driving experience with a valid Driving License with at least classes DL and B.
Previous experience of working with an INGO will be an added advantage
A certificate in Defensive Driving.
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Willingness to reside in rural communities.
