About USAID RHITES-E Project:
IntraHealth International will implement the USAID RHITES-E which supports the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 21 districts in Eastern Uganda and 2 in Karamoja by strengthening health systems and improving the quality of, access to, and demand for health services with attention to equity and underserved populations.

Job Summary: The Engineering Assistant will work closely and support the Infrastructure Manager in all works and activities pertaining to infrastructure assessment, provision of administrative support for the bid solicitation process for contracts, including coordination with facility, district engineers, MOH, engineering consultants, and RHITES-E program team to develop bills of quantity/design schemes and document the solicitation and competitive bidding process.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the USAID RHITES-E Project Engineering Assistant job placement must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
At least three years’ experience in the administration of office and document processing for a construction contract.
Computer literacy skills i.e. Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
