Horticulturist – Concern Worldwide

Concern Worldwide is an international non-governmental, humanitarian organization whose mission is to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives which last and spread without on-going support from Concern.

Job Summary: The Horticulturist will be responsible for developing a field manual on linking agriculture to WASH, introduce and support Water User Committees in establishing vegetable gardens, and provide post planting advisory services.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Diploma or Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension Services;
Working knowledge on vegetable garden techniques,
At least two years’ experience in planning and implementing nutrition/WASH interventions with an INGO.
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Demonstrates excellent training/facilitation skills;
Hold a valid Class A driving permit.
The candidate must speak Luo;
