About US:
Belgian Development Agency, BTC Uganda and Ministry of Education, Science Technology and Sports will implement together a support program to the implementation of the Skilling Uganda Strategy. The main aim is to raise standards and expand coverage of training, create employable skills and competencies relevant to the labour market instead of educational certificates.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Capacity building (30%): Develop and implement a capacity building strategy for the national and local (decentralized) partners
· Contribute to the development of a PPP strategy on the national and local level (30%)
· Responsible for monitoring and evaluation for project activities (20%)
· In charge of operational planning & reporting (10%)
· Perform any other activities (10%)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The National Assistant Project Manager should hold a master’s degree in social science, education or economy / administration
· A minimum of six years of professional experience
· At least four years’ experience in working for a bilateral or multilateral agency.
· Prior exposure and experience in the TVET sector, expert in PPP, M& E and or/ Capacity building
· Detailed working knowledge of and experience in project management.
· Soft skills such as the ability to work in a team, to work autonomously,
