About CEDP:
The Government of Uganda has received credit from the World Bank towards implementation of the Competitive and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP). The project development objective (PDO) is to improve the competitiveness of enterprises in Uganda through supporting reforms in priority productive and service sectors geared towards a better investment climate with particular focus on MSMEs.

The five-year project comprises of four major components and will be implemented by seven agencies. However, the overall coordination of the Project will lie with the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) through a Project Coordination Unit (PCU).

Job Summary: The World Bank Project Office assistant will provide both clerical and administrative support to professionals, either as part of a team or individually. The role will play a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of the office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide timely secretarial services to the head of regional office.
In charge of managing of the Regional office appointments and Meetings
Provide general office management.
Carry out photocopying, retrieval of documents and correspondence
Carry out appropriate filing of letters and maintain a small filing system for the office attached to
Cordially answer telephone calls, fax messages and general correspondences
Key Performance Indicators:
Confidential documents properly kept in safe custody.
Records of official appointments and messages brought to the attention of the Regional Head.
Documents authored put into presentable formats.
Incoming mail recorded and kept track of.
Event and external meetings recorded in the head of department’s Dairy.
Head of Regional informed of all external meetings and appointments.
Files classified and names and index numbers inserted for easy retrieval

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should hold an Honor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies
A minimum of three or more years’ experience in a busy organization
Legal advocacy with good communication and interpersonal skills
Highly computer literate.
