Future Options Consulting Ltd is an HR consultancy company which seeks to recruit on behalf of its valued Client in the manufacturing industry.

Job Summary: The Raw Materials & Packing Materials Supervisor will oversee and facilitate intake of quality Raw & Packaging materials into on-site and rented off-site storage facilities (silos/warehouses/stores). He / she will also maintain raw material and packing material quality through best practice storage methods. The incumbent will reconcile and maintain relevant inventory records in ERP and advise logistics of daily stock levels and movement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the group Procurement team in Nairobi (Central Support Office) to ensure availability of optimum levels of all raw materials and packaging materials as per production requirements and in-line with Company specifications.
· In charge of preparing and maintaining intake records (including silo/warehouse reconciliations) and submit On Time, In Full, Error Free (OTIFEF) reconciliation reports.
· Minimise operational disruption by adhering to scheduled maintenance of the machines.
· Avoid loss of raw & packaging materials by way of spillages, weather damage or expiries through good warehouse practices and adherence to FIFO/Kanban system.
· Champion, lead & support the implementation of PaTaMu/continual improvement activities and projects at the silo & warehouse facilities.
· Ensure that all ISO/HACCP/DOHSS/NEMA recommendations are implemented in all intake operations.
· Adhere to the Company and UNBS standards during intake of raw materials.
· Upholding the Company Code of Conduct and Ethics in day-to-day activities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Raw Materials & Packing Materials Supervisor should hold a Diploma in either Logistics and supply chain management, engineering (electrical/mechanical) or Food Science and Technology – University degree in the same disciplines preferred.
· At least five for Diploma or three for Degree years of working experience in a busy food manufacturing environment of which at least 2 years at supervisory level.
· Prior experience in stores/warehouse and/or raw material/grain management an added advantage.
· Demonstrated good leadership, planning, problem solving, written & verbal communication and people management skills.
· Advanced computer literacy; expertise with Microsoft Office Suites. Experience with ERP data entry an added advantage.
