Senior Investment Analyst – Pearl Capital Partners – Kampala

Job Description
Senior Investment Analyst should have leadership qualities and good analytical and communication skills. Ability to develop and use existing networks towards identification of potential investments and also more importantly supporting the performance at portfolio companies at various growth stages, are core deliveries for this role.
In addition, she/he will play a supporting role in strategy development and implementation, consistent with the vision of PCP.

Responsibilities
• Perform deal sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, execution and investment management assignments.
• Perform investment proposals reviews including business plans from potential clients, prepare papers for the investment committees and presentations to boards/ teams.
• Perform investment due diligence, investment analysis and financial modeling for the investments under consideration and under management as part of the portfolio.
• Participation in investment projects implementation, monitoring and remedial management activities and coordination.
• Maintain up to date information and build relations with your direct portfolio investees and provide reports/ feedback as well as required by PCP and its stakeholders.
• Review and analysis of investee reports and data collected from time to time for avoidance of doubt this information includes both financial and social developmental metric data.
• Participation in PCP’s internal report preparations and presentations to the PCP fund boards. This includes reporting on both financial and social metric returns.
• Conduct analysis and research of market data relevant to the sector and funds under management areas of focus as managed.
• Involvement in mentoring, training and supervising investment analyst interns.

Qualifications
• An East African national with a post-graduate qualification in finance, business administration, economics, management, agri-business, banking or other relevant business management discipline
• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in PE/VC investment management or agri-business management or relevant experience in a similar capacity at senior management level of an SME business or financial institution with frequent interface with small and growing businesses
• The ability to manage confidential information and develop trusting, long-term relationships with business partners and stakeholders at various levels.
