Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying plus a Post Graduate qualification in Survey; or Geo-Information Science from a recognized University /Institution.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience at the level of Surveyor in Government or equivalent level of relevant experience from a reputable Organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Surveyor for performing the following duties:-
1. Providing input in the preparation of policy guidelines for management of leeway for infrastructure for Minerals, Energy and Petroleum;
2. Reviewing and verifying technical field surveys of the prospective infrastructure investment of the Ministry;
3. Analyzing, processing and storing field survey data needed for planning, development and maintenance of Investment Projects;
4. Verifying data for input into the Geographical Information System (GIS) for retrieval and presentation/ supply of information for planning, implementation and decision making;
5. Supervising contracted land surveys of the Ministry;
6. Verifying and authenticating deed plans;
7. Providing technical support in solving land disputes.
8. Providing technical support, supervision and training of stakeholders on matters regarding to Ministry surveys;
9. Supervising and appraising staff;
10. Providing input in the preparation of work plans, budgets and periodic reports for the section;
11. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
