Stores Clerk – Rhino Camp – Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) – Uganda

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling of all items in transit in accordance with NRC policies ad procedures and in timely and efficient manner Norwegian refugee council (NRC) in Uganda the store clerk is expected to represent NRC in responsible manner and always.
Handle incoming and outgoing stock to /from and ensure that store requisition and issues vouchers are properly completed
Make sure all goods are properly packaged according to the sensitivity of the concerned goods. Ensures timely and safe delivery of items/goods from the stores are require it.
Issues items/goods on FIFO principle (First in First Out) for items that required it.
Ensures proper quality control at reception of any good s and assets by checking carefully the quality, quantity and documentation according to NRC requirement and report any defaults to the logistic assistant before accepting any suspicious goods
Ensure the use of stock cards for recording the items and ensure that one card is used for only one items
Proper handling and storages of received goods and also ensures that proper documentation is handled and managed in professional away.
Maintains an accurate and timely record keeping in accordance with all financial and logistics format and procedures
Keeping storages areas clean and organized at all times and reports immediately on problems relating safe storages of stocks
Update records of store weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and submit it to the supervisor
Conduct inventory control check through periodic physical counts as per NRC policies and procedures
Conduct inventory of fixed assets with a delegated person
Report any obsolete, damage or missing items immediately to the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Stores Clerk – Rhino Camp job placement should hold a diploma in stores management or related field.
Qualified residents of Arua/West Nile are encouraged to apply
Should have demonstrable experience of at least two years, preferably working with a Non-Governmental Organization / International NGO, with vast knowledge in stores management and reporting.
Must be willing to learn and implement NRC’s Logistics and stores procedures.
Demonstrated experience in of operating online stock management systems.
Good knowledge of emergency response operations.
Proven ability to undertake manual handling of stock.
