About USAID RHITES-E Project:
IntraHealth International will implement the USAID RHITES-E which supports the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 21 districts in Eastern Uganda and 2 in Karamoja by strengthening health systems and improving the quality of, access to, and demand for health services with attention to equity and underserved populations.
Job Summary: The Data Management Officer will serve as important member of the USAID/ RHITES-E Project M&E unit and will be responsible for data collection and entry within the USAID/RHITES.E activity and sub grants. S/he will support quality data collection, validation, compilation, analyses and reporting for RHITES.E activity at all levels. S/he will responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the RHITES-E Project’s data bases on process indicators with the activity M&E system that excels in capturing and reporting project progress towards achieving outcomes and results. The Data Management Officer will report to the M&E Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the USAID RHITES-E Project Data Management Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Quantitative Economics, Statistics or Post graduate in related discipline in M&E, Informatics, and Demography; a Master’s degree is an added advantage
Three years for Masters and 5 years for Bachelor’s degree of relevant experience of implementing monitoring and evaluation of formal and informal health and social supporting systems; and community program activities (Data Management and M&E experience for USAID funded Projects is desirable.
Demonstrated analytical skills to analyses and present data that respond to the varying information needs to measure the outcomes of the activity interventions and support activity supervision.
Must possess a firm command of data analytics and data base management in one of the following technical areas: HIV/ TB indicators, MNCH/FP indicators and HSS. Work experience managing Data for USAID-funded health service delivery programs is preferred.
