About US:
Epicentre is a non-government organization created by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in 1987 to help improve the quality of its field interventions. Since 1996, Epicentre has been a World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating centre for research in epidemiology and response to emerging diseases. Epicentre’s work hinges around three main activity areas: clinical research, field epidemiology and training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support any study by providing data management expertise.
· Actively contribute to development of the study-specific Case Report Forms (CRFs).Assist in standardizing data management procedures by developing further internal guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) (if needed), and ensure the compliance to the existent SOPs.
· Work closely with study PIs and heads of other departments (medical, laboratory, logistics, and administration) on matters relating to study data management.
· Ensure that GCP requirements, internal guidelines, and SOPs are implemented in data management activities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or Data Management from a recognised institution
· A minimum of three years of experience in data management in a clinical research setting.
· Previous experience in using relational databases such as relational databases (MySQL), in SQL and in database modeling.
· Working knowledge of software programs such as STATA.
· Good team management experience
· Ability to work in respect of internal guidelines, GCP, Standard Operating Procedures and study protocols strong interest in clinical research
