Job Summary:
USAID Advancing Nutrition Uganda Project wishes to engage the service of an IT Consultant to assist USAID Advancing Nutrition Uganda with IT set up and IT support services. Estimated Level of Effort (LOE) is 2-3 days a week. The IT Consultant will work under the direction of the Finance and Operations Manager
The Information Technology (IT) Consultant will be responsible for maintenance of the USAID Advancing Nutrition Uganda ICT systems and equipment through the provision of technical support and advice to users across USAID Advancing Nutrition Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and report on the performance of network, system and application security solutions.
Responsible for the installation and set-up of computers for new users. Configuration and troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking on PCs, Printers and file servers
Liaise with internet service provider to resolve any technical issues.
With guidance from the FOM, work with Home office Help desk/IT team to enforce database security, backup and recovery services and ensuring optimal performance of databases
Network and server configuration and management
Perform any other duties related to IT

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
A minimum of three years of working experience in a well-established IT firm or within an organization.
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
Databased management and information security knowledge
Vast knowledge in email set up and working with global IT set up systems
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
Work experience with an international development organization
Work with a USAID-funded project
Ability to take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality
