Job Summary: The Information Technology Officer (ITO) is responsible for overseeing the company’s information technology software projects. The jobholder coordinates project phases from development to installation and acts as a liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants. Professionally and effectively, maintains systems software plus related infrastructure. The ITO is accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems that support UCS infrastructure; Linux, Oracle, Windows and Application systems that support GIIS and Mail System and promoting procedures that enable staff and partners to adhere to Company values.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedulers for information technology projects.
Ensure project is completed within budget and on time.
Follow PMI standards to coordinate projects through the project lifecycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure.
Develop work-breakdown structures.
Develop project tracking and variance reports
Prepare proposals.
Coordinate multiple vendors.
Utilize in-depth technical knowledge and business requirements to design and implement secure solutions to meet customer / client needs while protecting the companys assets.
The incumbent will also develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and users.
Install and configure systems that support GIIS infrastructure or Smarter Mail applications.
Identify approaches that leverage the company’s resources and provide economies of scale.
Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
Identify user needs and troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Conduct periodic system audit and make appropriate recommendations and reports to management.
Upgrade and configure system software that supports GIIS applications or operational needs. Complexity/Problem Solving: Position deals with a variety of problems and sometime has to decide which answer is best. The question/issues are typically clear and require determination of which answer (from a few choices) is the best
Participate in the preparation the annual Information Technology budget. Communication/Interpersonal Contacts: Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices.
Provides occasional guidance, some of which is technical.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
Systems Engineer certification in Oracle, UNIX, Microsoft and CCNA.
At least two years’ Information technology experience.
Ability to document ICT processes or user support outcomes.
Prior experience in software support and WAN/LAN administration, Hardware.
Excellent customer care
Good team player
High degree of integrity
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Fluency in English
