Technical Project Manager / Software Developer – Kampala – Laboremus Uganda Limited

About US:
Laboremus Uganda Ltd is a Ugandan software development consultancy firm affiliated with Laboremus Oslo AS in Norway. We develop custom web and mobile applications mainly in .NET technologies, Android and WordPress CMS. The company works as an outsourcing partner for the Norwegian entity, as well as for local clients on systems such as digital archives, Monitoring and Evaluation/Management Information Systems, web portals and mobile applications. We aspire to provide an international and motivating working environment, with high investment in the capacity development of employees and possibilities for stays in Norway for training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· In charge of software development
· Responsible for planning and organisation of team efforts
· Day to day communication with clients
· In charge of testing and fixing of systems
· Producing project documentation
· Responsible for the development of appropriate concept for clients

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should hold a university qualification in software engineering/software development and/or equivalent experience
· A minimum of three years of working experience, preferably with project management responsibilities
· Past experience working with Microsoft .NET platform using C# ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework as well as front-end development with HTML/HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular or Knockout
· Alternatively, experience in PHP developing websites in WordPress CMS, My SQL and PHP frameworks such as Cake PHP or CodeIgniter
· Good working knowledge of the software development project cycle, knowledge of basic project management tools, experience in Agile project management is an added advantage
· Past experience in using task management software
· Leadership skills, takes initiative, good communication skills and customer relation skills
· Creative, able to see the best solutions for customers
