About US:
City Parents’ School is a Nursery and Primary institution registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports. The school has an estimated pupil population of 3400 and staff population of about 180 employees. The school accommodates a multi-cultural combination of pupils from various countries, religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· The Counselor will encourage pupils, staff and parents/ guardians to express their feelings and discuss issues they cannot normally share with others, and help their situations.
· Listen to, empathize with, encourage and help to empower individuals.
· Actively monitor behavioral and moral competencies and facilitate appropriate interventions.
· Effectively work in liaison with the School Administration, Parents/Guardians and other stakeholders regarding pupils with identified concerns and special needs.
· Routinely inform managerial decision and choices.
· Perform any other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The School Counselor should hold a Bachelor of Psychology, or Bachelor of Guidance & Counseling
· Applicants with additional qualifications in: Special Needs Education, and/or Early Childhood Development, and/or Education will possess an added advantage.
· A minimum of three years of counseling experience
· High degree of confidentiality
· Good listening skills
· High degree of sensitivity

· Ability to cope with emotional situations
· Patience
· Poise
· Flexibility
· Customer care skills
· High level of respect for privacy
· Self-confidence.
