Responsibilities.
1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Performing general electrical maintenance.
4. Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
5. Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
7. Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
8. Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
9. Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.
10. Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
11. Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
12. Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
13. Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
14. Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
15. Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
16. Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
17. Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
18. Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
19. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
2. At least 4 years’ experience in the same field working in a busy environment.
3. Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to read blueprints.
6. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
7. Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
8. Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
