Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will do daily work on the aircraft. To support the certified engineer whenever called upon in prepare for maintenance and during maintenance activities,
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician will be involved in the day to day work on the aircraft. The line maintenance technician shall report to the Maintenance Engineer and shall work hand in hand with the approved maintenance organization
Assist Engineer during Pre-flight Inspections and aircraft technical dispatch services
Perform Aircraft fueling and defueling
Supervision of the aircraft grooming staff when cleaning the aircraft cabin
Cleaning of the cockpit and other sensitive areas of aircraft
Assist Engineer during preventive and Scheduled Maintenance
Assist the Engineer during Defect Rectification and Unscheduled Maintenance
Assist Engineer during all required component changes
Ensure tools are clean and work area is clean before and after maintenance
Responsible for deep aircraft cleaning including cockpit cleaning
Any other work as required by your superior.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Maintenance Technician job placement must hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License, Airframes, Engines (Gas turbine engines) or Avionics (Electrical, Instruments, Autopilots, Radios).
Equivalent experience of at least three years in an aviation maintenance setting
