Job Summary: The Press Technician will operate the press and auxiliary equipment properly so as to timely produce a quality product and attain the print order in the most cost effective way.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates the reel stands, the printing press and auxiliary equipment
Ensures good quality materials are used on the press.
Prepares and submits production reports
Conducts minor maintenance of equipment
Carries out press shutdown

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicants for the MPL Press Technician job placement should hold a Uganda Certificate of Education (O level) or equivalent
Certificate in printing technology
A minimum of two years of related working experience, preferably in a printing environment of a media house.
Very strong drive for results
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to follow through and close issues
Willingness to work long hours
Good planning and organization skills
Excellent report writing skills
