Job Summary: The Transmission Engineer performs a pivotal role of ensuring quality transmission and reception of the signal

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be in charge of planning preventive maintenance for approval and implement the approved schedules
Conduct corrective maintenance on transmission equipment during breakdown ensuring that the station is on air 24/7/365
Recommend ways and means of improving efficiency (improvement maintenance) of utilization of exiting equipment
Actively coordinate new projects in transmitter stations including coordination and management of contractors
Monitor the television signal with a view of resolving any transmission problems arising thereof.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications/Electronics
A minimum of three years’ technical experience preferably in broadcasting
Working knowledge of TV transmitter systems
Good working knowledge of satellite (SCPC&VSAT) systems;
Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Possess the ability to work long and odd hours in a fast paced environment
Work independently with little or no supervision
