About Sophie’s Signature Suites:
Sophie’s Signature Suites (SSS) is an apartment boutique Hotel in Entebbe, formerly the 15-room hotel known as Sophie’s Motel, now remodeled into a 7-apartments facility. Each apartment consists of a brand new bedroom, bathroom a furnished living room with sofa, TV, study/ dining table, satellite television and an equipped kitchenette.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director on daily, weekly and monthly activities at the hotel.
Overseeing front desk and customer care, housekeeping, laundry, kitchen
Tasked with the supervision of all middle and junior staff. Delivery and maintenance of high quality service standards
Robust marketing of the hotel on social media and in traffic partnerships with online portals, travel agencies and destination management companies,
Responsible for coordinating and administering hotel services such as catering and accommodation facilities
Carrying on regular social media updates
Conversion of the marketing efforts & investment and sales relationships into strong and sustained room occupancy and revenue
Ensuring security is effective at the premises.
Conducting inspections of property and service
Maintaining statistical and financial records of the hotel
Customer care and development of repeat customer relationships
Administration, procurement, cost control and reporting.
Perform any other duties at SSS.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the Hotel Supervisor job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism/Travel and hospitality management or any business management related course
A minimum of three to four years’ experience in hotels and or travel agency or safari company including two years supervisor experience in an SME hotel
Computer literacy skills with good understanding of digital and social media trend
A friendly personality and a genuine desire to help and please guests;
Demonstrated ability to think clearly and make quick decisions;
Numeracy and logistical planning skills;
A professional manner and a calm, rational approach in hectic situations;
Demonstrated ability to balance customer and business priorities;
High degree of flexibility and a ‘can do’ mentality;
Energy and patience;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with Guest
