Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), through its Center for Global Health (CGH), and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) are parties to a Memorandum of Understanding which led to the establishment of the Consortium for Affordable Medical Technologies in Uganda (CAMTech Uganda). Based at MUST, CAMTech is a global consortium of academic, clinical, corporate and implementation partners working to build entrepreneurial capacity and to accelerate medical technology innovation to improve health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant – Grants will provide administrative and technical support in the field of grant writing, proposal development and grant submissions in partnership with innovator teams in the CAMTech Consortium.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree (honors)in social science, development studies, research administration, business administration or any other related disciplines.
Adequate and verifiable experience in the field of grant writing, proposal development and grant submissions
Possess the ability to interpret calls for proposal requirements, submission guidelines and develop an appropriate grant writing and submission plan relevant to specific calls for proposals.
Excellent computer skills including good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and the EndNote referencing software.
Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, team work, good command of written and spoken English, and ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure, often beyond usual working hours.
