About Plan International Project:
TPO Uganda in partnership with PLAN Uganda (and supported by Plan Germany National Office and the EU) are implementing three year projects on enhancing livelihoods of vulnerable child headed households and youth empowerment for sustainable livelihoods in Lira and Alebtong districts, Northern Uganda.
Job Summary: The Agriculture Extension Worker will be responsible for the coordination of the implementation of the livelihoods and socio-economic strengthening component of the “Enhancing livelihoods of vulnerable child headed households” project; in particular focusing on improving the socioeconomic status of vulnerable child headed households; and will provide project implementation support to the Extension Assistants, partners and other stakeholders in the project implementation area. The incumbent will also be responsible for program work, coordination and representation; and program administration.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural economics, Rural Development, Business Development, Economics or any other relevant field.
A minimum of two or more years working experience in a holistic livelihoods improvement program with practical experience in Agriculture, OVCs, socio-economic development, monitoring and evaluations.
