We help them fulfil their potential. Save the Children Uganda Country Office is looking to recruit persons on a National Contract for the following positions:
Role Purpose:
The ASRH Specialist, in collaboration with the Head of Health and Nutrition (HHN) will provide strategic direction and technical management for the planning and implementation of RH activities in the integrated package of services in the school, Alternative learning programs, facility and the community. The position will ensure the quality and documentation of key RH related interventions and approaches at all levels. The position will be responsible for ensuring all deliverable related to Reproductive health programs under the entire country program is delivered in a timely fashion and key lessons learned and best practices captured. Contract Duration: 1 Year

Location: Kampala
Qualification and Experience;
Graduate training in ASRH or equivalent combination/blend of training and experience. Postgraduate training in public health or another relevant discipline is preferred.
At least 8 years of direct experience in ASRH health policy development, program planning, implementation and/or evaluation in a developing country setting
Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, multi-intervention health development program in collaboration with national health ministries and international partners
Familiarity with the ASRH and School Health interventions in Uganda
Prior experience working with Uganda’s public health system (preferred)
3-5 years’ experience managing an SRH program/project at regional or national level
Desirable
Proven capacity to plan, analyze and ensure routine monitoring of work plans and ability to travel in the districts 40% of the time.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
