Job Summary: The Business Development Manager will play a focal role in building/managing partnerships and varied sales workforces with a clear understanding of our brand vision in order to meet sales targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will manage, train and motivate sales teams to ensure they meet the set targets
Carry out market sensitizations/trainings
Build, maintain and manage key partnerships to maximize sales
Follow up on and ensure Village Power Centers are profitable
Carry out research of current and projected market trends as the basis for identifying, recommending and implementing improved selling and marketing strategies
Ensure that all the necessary data associated with all sales is captured and accurate
The incumbent will plan and conduct appropriate marketing and selling strategies for Village Power Solar Home systems in coordination with central marketing campaigns
Always maintain a good corporate image of Village Power and any other relevant duties as assigned by Village Power management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should hold an undergraduate degree or a skill set and experience to match
At least four years’ work experience in a targets driven environment
A fun personality
High degree of integrity and creativity
The applicant must also be a confident and authoritative speaker
A high degree of self-motivation
Passionate for selling
Resilience and persistence
Ability to communicate with people at all levels
Strong negotiation skills
A team builder
An entrepreneurial spirit and a problem-solving attitude
Working knowledge of local languages
Technical knowledge of solar products is an advantage
Computer proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Google applications)
