About USAID FtF Project:
ACDI / VOCA will implement an anticipated large, multi-year USAID-funded project, the Feed the Future Uganda Producer Organizations Activity Project. Together with local and international partners and in support of USAID/Uganda’s Feed the Future (FtF) initiatives, ACDI/ VOCA’s program will work to strengthen the governance, management, service delivery and local level advocacy capacities of producer organizations (POs) within the FtF zone of influence in order to;
1) Increase the involvement of POs in business-oriented activities along the value chains
2) Improve PO governance and management structures that efficiently and effectively provide services responsive to the needs of their members
3) Improve the agricultural enabling environment at the local government level.

Job Summary: The Chief of Party will provide technical and administrative leadership, and expertise for the activity. The incumbent will serve as a primary liaison with USAID/Uganda on management and technical matters. He / she will also manage activity implementation in meeting the objectives of the agreement. The job holder will program development expertise from inception to deployment to ensure activities are according to plan and oversee them to conform to the terms and conditions of the agreement requirements, including cost, schedule and quality parameters. He / she will also manage and control funds and other resources for the agreement as required. Prepare status reports, budget information and other documentation as needed. The Cop will take a leadership role in coordination among USAID, key stakeholders, other implementing partners and GoU officials.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Business, International Development, Public Policy, Education, Agricultural Economics, or other relevant field (a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and ten years of experience could be substituted for a Master’s degree).
At least five years’ experience in international development, preferably in agriculture and private enterprise development.
Proven ability in successfully leading and managing programs of a similar scope and scale.
High level of leadership, interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to interact collaboratively with a broad range of public and private sector counterparts and other key stakeholders.
