Community Development Facilitators – Food for the Hungry (FH)

Job Summary:
The Community Development Facilitators will plan and implement Child Focused Community Transformation (CFCT) approach in the sector activities of; Education, Health/Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, livelihoods, Environment, Child protection and biblical worldview) which are designed to develop social skills of groups of children within a particular community; including being involved in spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical development of the children and the community as a whole.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Implementation of Educational program activities
Sponsor-child communication
Health and Nutrition related activities.
Livelihoods/Food Security related activities
Disaster Risk Reduction/ Management related activities
Gender and protection, environment & Biblical worldview related activities::

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the Food for the Hungry (FH) Community Development Facilitator job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Education, Social Work, Health, Agriculture, or another approved field of study from a recognized university.
A higher diploma with Child development bias is an added advantage.
At least two years of practical field experience working with communities and children in holistic developmental practice and experience.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
Knowledge and application of the local languages (Lugisu, or Luganda) with a valid motorcycle riding permit, including the ability to ride and care for a motorcycle.
Start Date: October 2019
