About Us:
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an international NGO promoting adult education and community development among refugees and has been active in Uganda since 1997 as an operational partner to OPM and UNHCR.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will plan, design and conduct trainings and materials related to literacy in local languages and English for adults.
Arrange and promote practical exercises, activities and hands-on projects for adult learners in order to enhance functionality of the training courses.
Identify, formulate and initiate relevant methods, models and practises for adult training.
The incumbent will also sensitise and motivate volunteer instructors, adult learners, youth groups and other project beneficiary groups, and provide professional mentoring and support to them.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree on Adult Education / Pedagogy or Community Development with strong experience on adult education and literacy.
A minimum of two years of professional work experience with communities.
Previous exposure and experience in training, material development, participatory assessments.
