Job Summary: The Country Head serves as the senior face to clients, employees and local authorities. The incumbent will also work closely with the cluster manager to represent the interests of the Ipsos Uganda business, office, employees and also the client needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Marketing:
· The incumbent will identify and develop local business opportunities for significant growth within Ipsos Uganda
· Leveraging and building on the global knowledge, capabilities and resources in Ipsos global practices
· Implement and manage a client and sales oriented focus in the business
2. Clients & Positioning:
· Develops and maintains local client contacts as the senior client representative of Ipsos in the country
· Understands the client needs regardless of Strategic Business Lines and helps developing projects locally together with Business Units and across Clusters
· External representation of the company, aligned with global branding, positioning, marketing and communication to both the client and talent market
3. Leadership & People Management:
· In charge of strategic business planning for Ipsos in Uganda aligned with Global and Sub Saharan Africa vision and SSA and strategic business planning
· The incumbent will drive a performance based culture that engages teams at all levels
· Manage the Executive team, including regularly scheduled team management meetings and all other strategy, policy and decision-making sessions as appropriate
· In charge of implementing Ipsos Group strategy, policies and processes locally
· Carries out all statutory and legal responsibilities for all legal entities of Ipsos in Uganda
Key Performance Indicators:
· Financial performance of Country (including both P&L and balance sheet performance)
· Retention of key staff & Development of a succession pipeline
· Client satisfaction
· Employee Engagement
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field
· Possession of an advanced degree such as an MBA would be an added advantage
· At least ten years of market Research related experience, with six years previous management experience
· Excellent track record of having run a successful business, preferably in professional services or market research
· Previous experience working in a multinational environment
